Our 2024 event highlights
What a year we’ve had. Our 2024 event programme was a great success.
Over 22,000 of you joined us at one of our four events. We loved meeting everyone and helping visitors find the information and advice they needed about the Motability Scheme.
We saw our EV Information Hub take centre stage. This let our visitors find out all they needed to know about leasing an electric vehicle (EV) on the Motability Scheme. We also launched our new event app to digitally support people as they explored each event.
Our year kicked off with our flagship show at the NEC in May. Attendees got to explore the UK’s largest display of cars, Wheelchair Accessible Vehicles (WAVs), adaptations, scooters and powered wheelchairs available on the Scheme.
It was our largest event of the year and the only show that has expert speaker sessions running all day. Visitors got to enjoy lots of different talks with guests, like blind broadcaster, journalist and content creator Lucy Edwards, BBC presenter Steve Brown, and Will Bayley MBE PLY.
Anyone who could not be there in person could tune in to ‘The Big Event: Streamed Live’ online. They caught exclusive Q&As and videos from around the show, from the comfort of home. If you missed it, you can still watch all the online content on our YouTube channel.
Our programme of events continued across the summer and we enjoyed meeting more visitors in Exeter, Harrogate and Edinburgh. It was great to give you all lots of advice and information about the Scheme and how we support you with EVs. And to give visitors the chance to test drive lots of different cars, including EVs and cars fitted with popular driving adaptations.
Thanks to everyone who came to our events or joined us online. We hope you had as good a time as we did and we look forward to welcoming you to our 2025 events!
